1a: Starting a search
Starting a search
There are two ways to start a search in TalentRiver, depending on your setup.
If your ATS is connected, open the relevant project from the left sidebar first. This ties your search to that project and lets you see which candidates are already in your pipeline.
If you don't have an ATS connected, use the quick search bar at the top. You can get started by pasting a job description, typing free-text criteria, or uploading a document. TalentRiver will read what you paste and extract the relevant criteria automatically.
Once you're in a search, choose where to look:
ATS — searches your existing candidate database. Use this first. You may already have the right person.
Public — searches LinkedIn and broader public sources. Use this when your ATS doesn't have enough relevant candidates.
You can switch between the two at any point without losing your criteria.
