How to update web extension
Update the TalentRiver extension
Chrome and Edge update extensions on their own schedule. To pull the newest version right away, force an update from the extensions page. It takes under a minute and you stay signed in to everything.
Pick your browser below.
Google Chrome
1. Open the extensions page
Click the three dots in the top-right corner of Chrome, then Extensions.
Or paste this into the address bar:
chrome://extensions/
2. Turn on Developer mode
The toggle sits in the top-right corner of the extensions page.
3. Click Update
Three buttons appear on the left side of the page. Update checks every installed extension and installs the newest version straight away.
4. Reload your tabs
Close the extensions tab and refresh any LinkedIn tab you had open. The sidekick now runs the new version.
Microsoft Edge
Same idea as Chrome, with the controls in slightly different places. Edge keeps the Developer mode toggle in the bottom-left corner and the Update button near the top of the page.
1. Open the extensions page
Click the three dots in the top-right corner of Edge, choose Extensions, then Manage extensions.
Or paste this into the address bar:
edge://extensions
2. Turn on Developer mode
In Edge the toggle sits in the bottom-left corner of the extensions page, not the top-right.
3. Click Update
The Update button appears near the top of the extensions page. Edge checks for and installs updates for everything you have installed right away.
4. Reload your tabs
Close the extensions tab and refresh any LinkedIn tab you had open. The sidekick now runs the new version.
